Wind River Country has a history of trading and artisanship. The combination of Native American art—beading and leatherwork are Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho specialties—the area’s fur trading and pioneer history, and an active modern-day community of artists has made Wind River Country a center for western American arts and crafts.
